About Us
Azhikkakathu Family
The Azhikkakathu family is a branch of the ancient Syrian Christian family by the name ‘ Karamoottil ‘ of Kidangannur, near Aranmula in Pathanamthitta district of Kerala State where-from an ancestor named Ninan Ninan settled down at Ayroor in the year 1842(app). The ‘Azhikkakathu’ family traces its origin to him. The descendants of this forefather are now in the seventh generation after him. According to Genesis 12: 2 "I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you, and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing." The Azhikkakathu family thanks our merciful Lord for being our refuge and fortress for generations.
Kudumbayogam
The Azhikkakathu Kudumbayogam is held every year on a regular basis. All the meetings of the Kudumbayogam so far have been held at the Marmon Retreat Centre , Maramon, on the bank of river Pampa , opposite Kozhenchery.

The earliest known forefather of the 'Azhikkakathu' family of Ayroor in Pathanamthitta district is Shri. Ninan of 'Karamoottil' family of Kidangannur, near Aranmula of the same district. He was born in the year 1822(app).
